Can you tell me a little about yourself?
My name is Rory Cejas, I'm 28yrs old and I'm currently a Firefighter with the City of Miami Fire-Rescue Dept. And during my days off I utilize my time to doing little movie projects.

What software did you use to create your movie?
I captured and edited all my footage with Adobe Premiere and then I used Adobe After Effects 5.5 to create the special effects. Photoshop 5 was used for the webpage design, but hardly for the movie. 3Dmax was also used for all renderings seen in the movie. Quicktime Squeeze was used to compress the film.

How fast is your computer?
I now have an HP Pavilion a450n (3.2 Pentium HT) and upgraded it with 2GB RAM and 330GB of Hard Drive Space.

What camera did you use?
I used a Canon GL-1

Did you go to school for this?
Absoultely not. I learned everything I did by sitting down everyday and painstakenly going through the motions,(even though I still have much to learn) not to mention getting about 100% support from fellow fanfilm makers from the TFN boards.

Why make a Starwars fanfilm?
Every since I was a kid I always loved making movies with my dad's video camera, but I also wanted to do a really cool movie with special effects, but at the time I knew it wasn't possible. But now with the way techno-logy is going, I decided to fulfill my dream. So I made this film as a test to myself, just to see how far I can go.

How many people were invovled?
Believe it or not, this movie was made during my spare time and help was short. 99% of the whole movie was done with the camera on the tripod and the actors you see on the screen. The only people invovled helping during the whole film was the three actors, which are my brother, my friend, and my wife.

Can you help me with my movie?
Well this project started out as a "one time deal", but after completing the first one I couldn't help feeling compelled to give the story a sense of closure, so I decided to start work on a sequel. So unfortunately I will not be able to help with any other projects right now. I am not saying I can not lend a hand every now and then, but I can't give anyone my full 100%. Believe it or not fanfilms are alot of work, especially without a budget. The most difficult thing about a fanfilm is "TIME" and making sure everyone has the same time off to help with the project. This is why it takes me a while to make my fanfilm. Not to mention I also like to take my time with the whole story process, just to make sure everything flows correctly including camera shots and it's continuity. This time around I have been very fortunate to get help from many people here on the net and also from friends here at home, so hopefully this project will be completed soon and earn it's place as one of the many decent StarWars fanfilms of it's time...Hey Uncle George! If you've seen my film, E-MAIL ME! =)
